We love how easy it is to knit with this yarn. The light DK weight makes it ideal for many projects. The soft feel of the yarn as it glides through your fingers makes learning to knit with this fiber a treat. In addition to the softness, alpaca is also an incredibly warm fiber, making it ideal for warm winter accessories like scarves, hats, and mittens. Take care when washing your finished knits as alpaca will felt, but unlike sheep’s wool, which becomes dense and firm when felted, alpaca will retain its softness. Additionally, the felted fiber is very supple, ideal for slouchy hats and bags. Try this fiber next time you are felting for a unique and fabulous finished fabric.
