After making grand plans and intending to have our Early Frost Wrap finished by the closing ceremonies of the Olympics, we have been foiled (again) by sock yarn. We loved how quickly we were able to memorize the pattern repeat and the only hiccup was failing to work the pattern on the purl rows. But, needing to rip back several different purl rows to include the pattern helped us quickly overcome this flaw in our memories. Once we memorized the pattern (for the right and wrong side rows), we were able to move along at a nice clip even if we did fail to account for how long it takes to knit anything with sock yarn!
The beauty of this pattern and the gorgeous rich and slightly tonal yarn was all the encouragement we needed to keep going, and we are delighted to have this shawl complete. Now we just need to block this beauty!
What about you? Did you finish your wrap?
