The Little Black Shrug, our newest knit-along project, has gotten off to a bit of a slow start. I am using Milky Whey by Kollage Yarns for my sweater and I must admit this yarn is heavenly to work with. Silky and smooth it is a dream to knit with and this yarn is adding a wonderful drape to my finished fabric.
I created my gauge swatch and following the ball band instructions, I wet blocked my swatch prior to measuring. I found that after blocking, my swatch was a bit larger than the pattern requires, but I really love how my fabric looks, feels, and drapes when knit using a U.S. size 6 needle.
To compensate for this larger gauge, I am making a size that is a bit smaller than I would normally select, and I am expecting my finished sweater will be the perfect fit.
What about you? What yarn did you select?
